One hundred and fifty-eight pages so a rule can be read at a glance.

FORVIA ergonomics reference guide, 158 pages

The subject

FORVIA was born from the merger of Faurecia and HELLA. Its ergonomics memorandum still dated from the Faurecia era: around thirty A5 pages, a wooden mannequin on the cover. The Group’s Ergonomics team entrusted us with a complete overhaul, to make it the reference standard for workstations in all its plants.

The idea

Drawing rather than photographing. A cast of characters in FORVIA workwear, in one consistent line, in isometric view: they take on every posture in the reference guide, move along the aisles, handle bins, trolleys and tools. A methods engineer finds the exact dimension there; a workshop manager understands the rule without rereading it.

What we produced

  • Art direction and book grid
  • More than 200 illustrated plates
  • Dimensioned diagrams and “preferred / to avoid” tables
  • Interactive PDF, a rule in two clicks
  • Chapter-by-chapter proofreading with the experts
